The service received the entire time we were there was exceptional. The food in the hotel as well as room service was amazing! My only regret is that I wasn’t aware of the High Tea and they were completely booked so I didn’t get to experience that but everything else great!! The Bell man, Floyd, went above and beyond, especially running to get my bags in the Lyft before they left. The view was amazing, bed was comfy, hotel was clean!! We will be back!

The room was wonderful and unusually large. Everything having to do with the room expectations was spot on. T.V. lost single, we reported the problem, and someone was at our door within five minutes. He tried his bag of tricks. No luck. He said there was one more thing he could try before writing up a job order for the next day's crew. It was to go up on the room and clean the ice and snow off the dish. It was cold and snowy. Within ten minutes the single was back and all was well. I found this to be typical of all staff we encountered. Once again, congratulations to the building management.

The location is excellent. On the northern most part of the Mag Mile. Bordering Lake Shore Drive, North Avenue Beach and steps from Oak Street boutiques. The neighborhood is safe and offers so much within a few minutes walk. Major CTA bus stops 1 block away and the subway is a 10 minute walk. There are loads of dining options within a 5-10 walk. There’s a Lavazza coffee shop in the arcade on the ground floor. The Drake is a venerable hotel. Our room was clean, quiet and spacious.

Nice view for Michigan Lake & Lake shore drive .Thank you for giving me a lake view room when I requested on my return. Clean , comfortable! Thank you for the lovely welcome gift, welcome card nice touch to welcome me back ! . Professional, friendly staff @ front desk. Perfect meals for Christmas dinner @ Hotel Restaurant , very nice server / waitress on Christmas Day who did amazing job recommended a perfect meal for me & my family . Will be returning to this property in near future

We book-ended our trip, returning again to the Drake for the final night of our holiday. The Christmas tree and decor were still as impressive as when we first arrived on day one. We also enjoyed dining in the bar Coq d'Or again, it has the perfect classic decor and lighting (1920s/30s) of which I'm very fond of! Tasty food, attentive service and a good buzzy atmosphere, people dropping in for Christmas drinks etc.

The location is right in the heart of the Gold Coast. Steps from Oak Street boutiques and 900 Michigan shops. Many restaurants and cultural offerings within an easy walk or short bus ride. The hotel is beautifully preserved and offers a luxury vibe at a reasonable price. Many families were there celebrating the holiday season at high tea in the gorgeous Palm Court. The staff is helpful and very accommodating.

Love The Drake. It is always at the top of my list. The breakfast restaurant at the hotel is lovely, and they have amazing Christmas decorations. I did not have time to do tea, but I did get to enjoy the harpist from the lobby area.

I liked the room, the upstairs bar in the Palm Court, Bartender Thawat was very enjoyable! There was another gentleman that gretted going up the stairs when we checked in. Noticed the shirt I was wearing and gave me a Roll Tide! for the University of Alabama. Then some more conversation. Later that evening when we were heading out caught my wife and I and took our picture by the big Planter by the stairs. Wife was very happy. We had our wedding reception at the Drake 25 years ago July 18th.
